What a local business site has to do
Most people find a local shop on their phone. They want three things fast: are you open, where are you, and how do they reach you.
A good small business site answers those in the first screen. Your hours, your town and a phone number that taps to call sit near the top. Your services come next, in the words your customers use.
Writing the sentence for your shop
Name the business and the town first. Then list the jobs you do, in plain words. Then add your hours and your phone number.
Our example is Hillside Hardware, a made-up hardware store. It names three services: key cutting, paint mixing and carpet cleaner rental. Each one becomes its own part of the page, so a visitor sees right away that the store does what they need.
Give real details. A street address, a price for key cutting or a note about parking all help. The draft uses the facts you type and leaves out what you did not give.
Shaping the draft
Read the draft as a customer would. Then change it in plain words. Ask to move the hours higher, add a price list, or make the top darker.
Spots with no facts behind them show labelled sample text. Swap each one for your own words before you share the page. A label left in place tells a visitor the page is unfinished.
Mistakes that cost local shops calls
Hours that are out of date send people to a locked door. Update them the day they change, including holidays.
A phone number shown only as an image cannot be tapped. Keep it as text. Long welcome speeches push the useful facts down the page, so keep the opening to one line about what you do.
Skip fake praise. The draft never invents reviews, ratings or awards, and your page reads more honest without them. Add real quotes from real customers once you have their permission.
Details that bring people through the door
Small facts often decide a visit. Say where to park, which bus stops close by, and if the door has a step or a ramp.
Name the areas you serve if you drive to customers. A plumber who lists six neighbourhoods gets fewer calls from too far away.
Tell people what to bring. A hardware store might ask them to bring the old key, a paint chip, or a photo of the broken part. These lines save a wasted trip and show that a real person runs the shop.
Put your street address in plain text too, so maps on a phone can find it.

Questions
Do I need an account to try it?
No. You type one sentence and the draft appears with no account. You confirm your email only when you want to keep it.
Will it make up reviews for my business?
No. The draft never invents reviews, ratings, awards, licence numbers or names. It uses only the facts you give it.
Can I change the site after it is live?
Yes. You ask for changes in plain words, each change is checked before it goes live, and you can undo any change later.
What are three signs a website is trustworthy?
Real contact details, facts that match the business, and no made-up praise. A clear phone number and current hours do a lot of that work for a local shop.
