Data Deletion

Last updated: October 3, 2026

You are in control of your data. This page explains how to have your Syndai data deleted, and how to revoke Syndai's access to any account you connected, such as Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube, or a code repository. It supplements the Your Rights and Data Retention sections of our Privacy Policy at /legal/privacy.

1. Request deletion of your data

To delete your Syndai data, email privacy@syndai.ai from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete your data. We will verify the request, then delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data, including your profile, your run artifacts (prompts, diffs, evidence, logs), and any access tokens for accounts you connected. We will confirm when it is done.

If you reached this page from a platform's own data-deletion request flow, that flow sends us your request automatically and we handle it the same way.

2. Revoke a connected account

When you connect a social account or code repository to Syndai, we store an access token so we can act on your behalf. You can revoke that access at any time from the platform's own settings, which invalidates the token and stops all further access:

  • Facebook, Instagram, and Threads: in Facebook, Settings, then Apps and Websites (or Business Integrations); in Instagram or Threads, Settings, then Apps and Websites (Threads access is managed through your linked Instagram account). Remove Syndai.
  • Google and YouTube: your Google Account, then Security, then Third-party access, then remove Syndai.
  • A code repository: your Git provider's account settings, under authorized OAuth or GitHub Apps, then revoke Syndai.

Revoking access invalidates the stored token; the token and any cached content for that connection are deleted on our rolling schedule. It does not delete anything already published to your own platform account, which remains under your control on that platform.

3. Deletion on behalf of a business customer

Where we process content on behalf of a business customer (for example, personal data inside a repository your employer connected), direct your request to that customer, who controls that data. We will assist them in fulfilling it. If you are unsure who to contact, email privacy@syndai.ai and we will point you to the right place.

4. What happens and when

We action deletion requests promptly and within the time the law requires. Live data and access tokens are deleted on your request or when you revoke a connection, and any persistent coding-run memory scoped to you is hard-deleted; deleted data then ages out of our encrypted backups within a bounded window (target: 30 days). We retain the minimum we are legally required to keep, such as billing and tax records, for as long as the law requires, as described in the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy.
